FBI Requests Public's Assistance

Eleven individuals were indicted this week on federal drug charges, U.S. Ten of the defendants were arrested, April 4 and police are still on the lookout for one who is still at large.

Police are searching for Fredrick Charles McCaulp, 21, of Brookhaven. McCaulp is charged with three counts of possession with intent to distribute more than 28 grams of crack cocaine. If anyone has information concerning his whereabouts, contact the FBI in Jackson at 601-948-5000.

Deputies from the Covington County Sheriff’s Department arrested a Mt. Olive man on theft charges.

Police arrested 43 year-old David L. Carter, 43, for Receiving/Disposing of Stolen Property. Carter is currently being held in the Covington County Jail on a $25,000 bond.

 

Collins man surrenders to authorities

Collins man surrenders to authorities

Tim Dewayne Magee, 35, of Collins, surrendered to authorities at the Covington County Sheriff’s Office, August 15, after a warrant for Conspiracy to Commit a Crime (Distribution of Meth) was issued.

He is currently being held in the Covington County Jail on a $333,000.00 bond.
