Wesley Home Care Representatives Discuss Recovering at Home

Wesley Home Care Director Carol Tatum, RN and Wesley Home Care Representative Wanda Murphy, RN, will lead a discussion on recovering from surgery or illness at the Senior Circle Lunch and Learn program on May 17 at 11 a.m. in the Glenn Smith Room at Wesley Medical Center.

The seminar is part of an on-going monthly series, featuring local physicians and community leaders discussing a variety of health and wellness topics. Tatum and Murphy will discuss how to stay healthy, happy and at home after major medical events.

Forrest General’s Spirit of Women Announces 2013 Spirit Girl Auditions

Forrest General’s Spirit of Women will hold auditions for the 2013-2014 Spirit Girl program on May 3-4. Interested girls entering grades 7 -12 must call FGH OnCall at 601-288-4968 to request an audition packet or visit www.ForrestGeneral.com. Application deadline is April 19 and audition space is limited. Girls must have an appointment to audition.

Lace up your sneakers and make a pledge to live a longer, healthier life! National Walking Day, celebrated April 3, is part of the American Heart Association’s movement to get more people walking—at work and at home. This day calls on all Americans and their employers to incorporate at least 30 minutes of brisk walking into their day. Forrest General encourages businesses, schools, neighborhoods and families to organize their own walk and get moving for health!
